Looking for success stories in Europe

The next Future Internet Assembly (FIA) meeting will take place in Valencia on 15, 16 April 2010. It is held in conjunction with the event “The European Framework Programmes: From Economic Recovery to Sustainability” where among others the Public Private Partnership (PPPs) on Future Internet will be formally launched. Contrary to previous FIA workshops this one will be open for all researchers involved in Future Internet.

The preliminary programme of Valencia is available on . A designated group of people are shaping the sessions, but we need your active participation, both now and during the FIA in Valencia. We would appreciate receiving your feedback on issues such as:

  • Was your project influenced by the FIA process?
  • Did your project achieve a specific cross-domain result which you would like to share with the others?
  • Did you collaborate actively with other projects and shared information/developments in some way?
  • Is your Call 4 or Call 5 project connected to previous roadmap discussions of the FIA?
  • Are your results ready to go into standardisation or into international collaboration?
  • Do you have any concrete experience for any of the topics that will be discussed during FIA Valencia? This might be gained in a FIA project or in any other research initiative.

We want to use your inputs for selecting speakers for the different sessions to get new voices and to present success stories of Future Internet research in Europe. This will also be useful to prepare for the forthcoming PPP on Future Internet.

Please send your proposals for presentations during FIA Valencia before> to infso-future-internet(at) The format is free but the description should not exceed 1 A4 page. We count on your participation to make FIA Valencia a success and thank you in advance for your efforts!
