4th FIRE-GENI Workshop

The 4th FIRE-GENI workshop will be held in connection with the ICT2010 event in Brussels, Belgium, and will take place September 30 - October 1, 2010 at European Commission premises for Directorate-General for Information Society and Media, at undefinedAvenue de Beaulieu 25, 1160 Brussels.

This workshop is organised by DG Information Society and Media of the European Commission and the National Science Foundation with support of the FIREworks/FIRESTATION projects and the GENI Project Office.

The workshop is by invitation only.

Context

The meeting is the fourth of a regular series of meetings between the EC and NSF regarding collaborations in internet experimentation. The objective of this workshop is to dive deeper in the synergies of activities in this area and continue the joint work. The workshop will mainly focus on identifying and planning bilateral cross-Atlantic experiments. The invited participants are infrastructure project leaders, researchers who want to run experiments and inter-connectivity project representatives.
