DIMES, Méditerranée Technologies and the Enterprise Europe Network invite you to a seminar on: “Franco-Finnish Cooperation for Smart Innovation” How to speed up innovation rising from France and Finland in a smart context On 28 April 2010 : 12pm – 6pm 62, Rue du Thrône, 1050 Brussels (BELGIUM)

We are pleased to invite you to the annual DIMES seminar in Brussels on 28 April 2010. This year the seminar is organised jointly with Méditerranée Technologies (MT) and the Enterprise Europe Network (EEN). The seminar addresses the topic of Smart Innovation and aims to bring together key players in the field of ICT in France and Finland to identify cooperative research and business development opportunities.

DIMES’ objective is to influence strategy work in Commission on behalf of the ICT industry. This has been successful, as demonstrated by the increased number of direct contacts, improved awareness and appreciation towards members’ know-how and skills. However, it is through cooperation that significant inputs are achieved. Franco-Finnish cooperation is a good start as both countries present many commonalities in terms of innovation policy, advanced technologies, methodologies to boost research and develop businesses. And now is the right time for “smart” cooperation, as European innovation needs a kick-start in order to boost the economy into a new rise.

The event will bring together high-level representatives from the European Commission, from industry (Nokia, Technicolor) and a wide range of stakeholders from SMEs to associations and will aim to:

  • Highlight major frameworks for cooperation: Future Internet Public Private Partnership from an institutional and industrial perspective, Enterprise Europe Network;
  • Present some cooperation success stories between France and Finland;
  • Facilitate business development through bilateral company meetings and exhibition space: for this purpose please fill in the attached form and return to: judson@mediterranee-technologies.com;
  • Collect forerunners and interesting cases of new media: content, services, creative industries and application developers from both countries;
  • Provide a forum for discussion on European innovation policy as a whole: “How to ensure research outcome turning into flourishing business?” “What are the challenges, what could be the remedies?” “What can be done jointly to raise the game?”
