About us

FIREworks actors

The partners in the project are divided into three categories:

  1. Organisational Group
  2. Multipliers
  3. Community Members

FIREworks Organisational group consists of three testbed federators already from FP6. Both coordinators of FIRE testbed integrated projects, namely the  undefinedOneLab2  (and OneLab) coordinator Université Pierre et Marie Curie, Paris 6 and the PII (and undefinedPanlab) coordinator Eurescom GmbH are partners in the Organisational group, while DIMES association, also rooted in Panlab projects, coordinates the FIREworks project.

The substantial part of FIREworks is built on Multipliers, i.e. experts of the FIRE field. These representatives of both academia and industry, together with their participation and view to several FIRE projects form elementary discussion and strategy building squad for FIREworks and for the FIRE Community in general.

FIREworks is made of other projects. This includes other FIRE projects, which address the interconnection of testbeds or do experimentally-driven research on new networking paradigms and protocols, as well as of relevant projects from other objectives of Challenge 1 of the ICT theme undefinedFP7 projects, and of relevant initiatives in the Member States and Associated States, such as, EUREKA projects (e.g. undefinedCELTIC). These projects are either users or providers of resources in the planned European Experimental Facility.

FIRE Community include all the above mentioned parties, but also policy makers, independent testbed providers, customers, and other actors covering the field as widely as possible.

The partners responsible for the execution of the project, and which are the members of the Organisational group are:
